A Destination Seattle Engagement Session for Naomi & Christian

This job takes me to some pretty cool places. And the best part – I get to capture peoples love stories all while traveling to new places. I spent the first week of June in Seattle capturing Naomi and Christian’s engagement photos in a place they will soon call home!

Why Seattle?

Naomi and Christian are currently playing the long distance game. Naomi is in her last year of dental school in Dallas and Christian is about to start his third year as a software engineer at Microsoft in Seattle. But, luckily for these two, that will soon end.

To commemorate this upcoming season of life as they settle down in Seattle, they wanted to have their engagement session in their new city! Which I loved for multiple reasons, but also cause it gave me a chance to explore and get away from the Texas heat for a bit.

Downtown Seattle Rooftop

We started the day with a morning shoot on a rooftop in downtown Seattle. I was able to not only help them as far as locations go, but also with their outfits and I’m obsessed with the one we started with! It was fun, chic and the perfect first option for these two.

The State Hotel and Hotel Theodore

After the rooftop photos, we walked to The State Hotel and Hotel Theodore. This was such a pretty walk through a small part of Seattle! And the hotels were the perfect backdrop to round out their first outfit.

Gold Creek Pond

After a quick coffee break and an outfit change, we drove out to Gold Creek Pond for a second location. Theses photos were a bit more casual and allowed them to just be theirselves. I love the personalities that came out and the moments I was able to capture of their love.

This was truly one of the best days hanging with two of the sweetest people! I explored a new city, captured their love story and came back feeling refreshed to do it all over again.
