Sharing some of my favorite locations in Austin, TX for engagement and portrait sessions today! There is a spot for everyone no matter the vibe you are wanting for your session. Make sure to let me know if your favorite is on the list or where you’d like to have a session!
A true hot spot for photos in Austin, Texas, and for good reason, South Congress Avenue provides a bit of the downtown feel with some super fun spots for photos! Whether we catch the Austin skyline as you walk across the street or we stop for a quick shot in front of one of the many unique buildings – there’s something for everyone’s style.

As a Texas Ex myself, I am always up for the opportunity to go back to The University of Texas at Austin for an engagement session. I love photographing couples who met during their time at the university and going back to the spots that mean the most to them. It’s always so special!

Laguna Gloria at The Contemporary Austin is a stunning spot for engagement and portrait sessions. And it has so many options all in one place! Whether we do photos inside or outside (or both), the space and lighting create the most chic space for your session.

Whether you go when the wildflowers are in full bloom during the spring or during the off-season, the Wildflower Center is always a favorite spot of mine for sessions. Its pathways and brick buildings make for the perfect photo backdrop no matter the type of session you’re here for. I also love that it can be dressed up or down so you can get a little bit of both in your session!

Texas has so many beautiful state parks that make for the perfect photo session spot. I’m lucky to be near McKinney Falls and love when my clients choose it for their session. If you’re looking for a spot with a water backdrop, you can’t go wrong here!

There is a plethora of rooftop locations in Austin to shoot from and I love when they fit my couple’s vibe for their session! The simple backdrop and the sunlight are always so fun to play with here whether the session is at sunrise or sunset.

While downtown for rooftop sessions, I also love to make a stop at the Butterfly Bridge. It I such a unique architectural piece in Downtown Austin that makes for a great photo spot. And while we’re there, there are plenty of other spots within walking distance to add a bit of variation to your session.

If you’re looking for the wide open spaces of a grassy field for your engagement session, look no further than Commons Ford. I have loved having this location on my list, especially for couples who don’t want the city vibe of Austin.

If you love Austin and want the skyline in the backdrop of your session, Auditorium Shores is my go to recommendation for your session. It provides the perfect Austin backdrop and is great for couples who are looking to commemorate their love of Austin.

A first birthday session in the park – what could be better? Circle C Park is the perfect outdoor backdrop with a pop of wildflowers in the spring.
